CALL TO ACTION

Attention Citizens of Topeka!

YMCA of Topeka’s annual support campaign gives back over $400,000 each year to our community.  Since its inception, thousands of local individuals and families who struggle financially have been provided with the opportunity to access health, wellness and recreational services.  This fund also enables the collaboration of more than 80 community agencies and local organizations by providing access to YMCA facilities. Due to the state of our economy, the YMCA of Topeka is in jeopardy of being unable to sufficiently fund this annual and ongoing effort.  This program assists the people of Topeka in many ways.  Youth, Adults, Families and Senior Citizens have access to important services that they wouldn’t otherwise.  Sending at-risk children to summer day camp,  youth sport leagues, before and after school programs and providing low-income families and seniors with access to wellness services are just a few of the important functions of the YMCA of Topeka’s Caring for People Campaign.  Contributions made to this fund stay right here in the local community and support fellow citizens who cannot afford to pay full fees.  The YMCA welcomes and embraces people of all abilities, income, races and religions.  We are a part of the local community and continuously strive to improve and expand our services.  Please help us continue providing assistance to those who need it most.  Contact your neighborhood YMCA for more information on how you can help the youth of Topeka stay active and involved in the community.
